SAND CITY
Emma and Hasan don’t know each other, but they share a secret—they both steal sand. Emma uses it for kitty litter, Hasan for homemade glass. When a severed finger is found, their lives unravel, revealing that the human psyche can shatter just as easily as glass.

PHOTOGRAPHS OF A SCHOOL TEACHER
A schoolteacher has spent much of her life on the outskirts of a metropolis. She looks through her photo album one day and discovers photographs from various periods of her life. Each snapshot conjures up distant fragmentary memories and life situations for her.

A BORING FILM
An individual is in self-quarantine in a housing building that is under construction. But the place is so chaotic that he isn’t able to sleep. One day he goes over to the local zoo and attempts to sleep there.

I AM TIME
A photographer is fascinated with the concept of time. He captures his self portrait with a big clock and tries to frame moments visually. During this journey he discovers different ambiance and landscapes. Gradually he faces mystery of time and tries to touch the enigmatic moments of life.

THERE WE WERE
A short about Los Angels. Hasan’s French New Wave influences come through beautifully in the final portrait, which takes the audience on a winding journey through many iconic Los Angeles sites and landmarks—an impressive itinerary given Hasan’s relatively short time in the city.
